A Georgia Chapter

The Georgia Chapter of SCI was founded in February 18, 1981.  The purpose of the Chapter was:

  • To promote good fellowship among those who love the outdoors and the sport of hunting.

  • To promote the conservation of the wildlife of the world through selective trophy hunting of the aged and infirm animals, leaving the prime animals to procreate.

  • To help conservation efforts by supporting worthwhile projects, both orally and financially, when possible.

  • To educate our youth in the safe and proper use of firearms and to interest them in the conservation and preservation of the forests and animals which are our natural heritage.

  • To share the latest hunting experiences and information of our members so that other members may benefit for same.

  • To operate the association as a non-profit organization, originated for the enjoyment of the members, and with the thought that perhaps we can be of assistance in conserving and preserving the animals which we hunt today - for those who will come to love the sport tomorrow and to engage in any lawful business or activities related thereto; and to engage in any lawful act or activity for which corporations may be organized under the Georgia Non-Profit Corporation Code.
